eCommerce Proficiencies/Competencies

Students successfully completing the eCommerce AAS degree should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Produce written communications that are effective, persuasive, professional, and technically accurate

  • Compute needed equations, formulas, and numerical computations to solve ordering, scheduling, production, distribution, and planning problems

  • Develop, design, and assess web sites

  • Use project management and team management tools and software

  • Use HTML, graphics, spreadsheet, database, and other software

  • Consult with private industry sites and employers to assess needs and prepare web resources

  • Conduct primary and secondary research using the web and work teams

  • Perform needs analysis, contracts, flowcharts and schedules, timing plans, critical path and PERT charts, and contingency plans

  • Prepare timely reports and make professional presentations

  • Work successfully in teams and cross-functional groups

  • Prepare work assignments and commitments in a timely and professional manner

  • Adhere to the highest ethical standards in the collection, use, and dissemination of information for and about clients, consumers, and collaborators
